I cannot believe our little girl is 15 months old! She has brought more happiness and joy to our lives than we ever could have imagined. She continues to amaze us with her spunky yet loving personality!
On Tuesday, we had Kenley's 15 month old well baby check up. She weighs 18 lbs. 6 oz (below the 3rd % ile) and is 29 inches long (10th % ile). She is our teeny tiny angel!
Below are some things Kenley is doing and activities she enjoys:
- Transitioning to one nap a day: she typically sleeps for 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
- Imitating everything we do and everything Max does :)
- Enjoys reading and is now pretending to read on her own. It is so cute she will open a book and talk and point to the pictures.
- Attending her first gymnastics class! She is already our little STAR :)
- Enjoys watching Baby Einstein! She will get in her little chair and point to the TV and says "watch, watch!" and signs "please!" We limit her to watching it one time per day. I initially planned on not allowing her to watch TV until 2 years old, however that didn't go as planned....oops!
- Is becoming a picky eater. Her foods of choice are: avocados, sweet potatoes, carrots, any type of fruit, turkey sticks and chicken.
- Loves being outside! She enjoys riding in her wagon, going to the park, swimming or just waking around.
- Goes to bed around 7 or 8 and sleeps through the night until around 7 or 8 in the morning.
- Is a BIG fan of daddy! She is for sure daddy's little girl!
- Loves being around other babies/kids.
- Enjoys coloring and stacking blocks, then knocking them over!
- Can identify several objects in a book and in person.
- Is counting to 2.
- Can identify several of her body parts such as: hair, eyes, ears, nose, mouth, tongue, fingers, tummy, belly button, feet and toes.
- Is able to tell us the sounds of a monkey, duck, cow, sheep, bee, rooster and dog.
- She is saying the following words: Max, bubba, ball, mama, dadda, book, baby, rock, walk, nana, grandpa, papa, shoes, socks, dog, bath, bye, hi, toes, nose, yes, no, this, cracker, cheese, milk, turtle, thank you, please (but prefers to sign it), all done, duck, cat, night-night, bubbles, bottle, flower, one, two and her name (which she says as "Ken-Key").
Mommy and Daddy love you Ken Bug!
